About the role:
At Katalon, we are entering a new chapter with Katalon 2.0 — helping teams navigate the future of agentic testing and software quality in the AI era.
We are looking for a Community Manager to grow, engage, and activate Katalon’s global community of automation engineers, QA practitioners, students, developers, and testing enthusiasts.
This role will focus on strengthening relationships with our existing 130K+ user base, creating meaningful engagement programs, supporting advocacy initiatives, and helping position Katalon as a trusted voice in modern testing and agentic quality.
You will work closely with Marketing, Product, Customer Success, Developer Relations, and technical experts to build an active, high-value practitioner community.
What You’ll Do
Community Growth & Engagement
Manage and grow Katalon’s global user community across owned and external channels.
Design programs that encourage participation, engagement, advocacy, and peer learning.
Create a clear engagement journey: user active contributor advocate champion.
Segment and nurture different audiences, including students, free users, practitioners, and enterprise champions.
Community Programs & Events
- Organize and run recurring community activities, including:
Webinars and AMAs
Community meetups and virtual events
Product education sessions
User spotlight stories and technical discussions
Support partnerships with industry communities, testing practitioners, and SMEs.
Content & Community Experience
- Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams to develop community-driven content, including:
Best practices
Testing playbooks
Product education materials
User success stories
Thought leadership around AI-driven testing and software quality
Maintain an engaging presence across community touchpoints such as LinkedIn, Reddit, Discord, YouTube, forums, and community platforms.
Community Insights & Advocacy
Gather feedback and insights from users and bring them back to Product, Engineering, and GTM teams.
Help build and manage community advocacy, ambassador, or MVP-style programs.
Track engagement, participation, activation, and advocacy metrics to measure impact.
Job Requirements
You Might Be a Great Fit If You:
- Have 4–8+ years of experience in community management, developer marketing, customer/community engagement, developer relations, or ecosystem programs.
- Have experience growing and engaging practitioner, technical, SaaS, developer, QA, or B2B communities.
- Are a strong communicator in English with excellent relationship-building skills.
- Enjoy building programs, events, partnerships, and repeatable engagement systems.
- Are comfortable working cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Customer Success, and technical stakeholders.
- Have strong project management skills and can balance multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Care about measurable impact — not just vanity metrics.
Nice to Have:
Experience in SaaS, testing, DevTools, AI, or developer ecosystems.
Experience managing online communities (Discord, Slack, forums, Reddit, LinkedIn groups, etc.).
Familiarity with AI workflows, automation, software testing, or QA concepts.
Experience running webinars, meetups, advocacy, or ambassador programs.
Public-facing content experience (events, speaking, newsletters, or social channels).
